Terms of Service

Who these terms are for

These terms apply when you create a Tap2Glance account, link a Tap2Glance card or Reach tag to it, or use the Tap2Glance app or dashboard. You accept them, together with the Privacy Policy, in the app before you start; we keep a record of the version and the date.

People who only tap or scan a card do not need an account. The fair-use rules below still apply to them.

Your account

Use your own email address or Google account, and keep your sign-in to yourself. Admins of a business on Tap2Glance must use two-step sign-in.

You are responsible for what you put on your profiles and tags, and for choosing what people who scan them can see.

Cards, tags and how long the service lasts

Owning a card or tag and its online service are separate. The service runs for the term set by the business that issued it — currently two years from the day you link it to your account.

Linking needs the claim code that came with the product. Each card or tag can be linked to one account.

You can extend the service in one-year steps, for one card or all of them, at the price the issuing business sets, up to three years ahead. You pay that business directly; your extension starts once they approve it, and you get a receipt in the app.

There is no grace period. When the term ends, people who scan the card no longer see your profile. The card stays in your account, and you can still manage it, download your data and renew.

Transfers, lost cards and replacements

You can pass a card to someone else with a one-time link. They accept it from their own account, the remaining term moves with the card, and your private profile is no longer linked to it.

If a card is lost or stolen, mark it in the app: it stops showing your profile until you undo that. The term keeps running.

Replacements are arranged with the business that issued the card, at their price. The remaining term moves to the new card and the old one stops working.

Payments and refunds

Payments are made to the business that issued your card, not to Tap2Glance. An approved extension is not reversed; any refund is settled between you and that business.

Contact through your tags and cards

People who scan your Reach tag, or a card with contact turned on, can send you messages and call you over the internet without seeing your number. If you choose, they can also call or text the phone number you verified. These are free while the card’s term lasts.

Calls ring and messages arrive only when the app is installed, you are signed in and notifications are allowed. We cannot promise every call or message reaches you. Tap2Glance is not an emergency service: do not rely on it in an emergency.

You can set quiet hours, mute a tag and block people who misuse it.

Fair use

Do not use Tap2Glance to publish anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or someone else’s personal details without their permission. Do not harass, threaten or spam the owner of a card, and do not put links in messages.

We may limit, block or switch off a card, tag or account that is used against these rules or that we are lawfully required to take down.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to the people you choose, as you set it up, for as long as it is in your account.

Changes and leaving

If we change these terms or the Privacy Policy, the app asks you to accept the new version before you carry on.

You can delete your account from your account page at any time. It is erased after a 30-day cooling-off, as the Privacy Policy describes; signing in before then cancels it.
